So what is the Truth? In John 8:31, Jesus told us, “If you abide in My word, then you shall be My disciples and you will know the truth and truth will set you free.” How many of us really know the truth? All truth begins with the finished work of the Cross and the power of the Holy Spirit. Here are the four things we have to understand, believe and live by in order to be set free by the truth:

1) Salvation;

2) Your spiritual position;

3) Your spiritual possession;

4) Your personhood in Christ.

In other words, to be set free by the truth we must respond to our daily circumstances with the above knowledge. Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” Only truth can set you free but you must believe and apply truth in your life in order to be set free.
