The sad truth: we all allow money to control us instead of allowing God to take control of our lives. We bow down to money but we can’t give God a minute of our time. Matthew 6:21 tells us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Unfortunately we all live in the carnal self and we judge by what we can see, hear, taste, smell and feel. Yet, the Holy Spirit is tasteless, formless, odorless and soundless and His touch can only be felt in our spirit. But, who really cares? And what good is a man who gains everything but loses his soul? (Mark 8:36).
