Deep Thought #120

You have heard “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” but the Bible taught us “never fight evil with evil but fight evil with good” (1 Peter 3:9, Romans 12:17). Friend, it is important that we know we do not fight for victory, instead we fight from victory to protect our victory. When Jesus hung on the Cross, the devil was defeated. As a child of God and follower of Jesus Christ we have already won the battle. Satan will not stop trying to invade our kingdom and steal our blessings. Therefore it is vital for Christians to understand the work of the Crucifixion. We are victors not victims. Satan is a defeated foe. Stop thinking like a victim and start believing you are a victor because of what Jesus has done. The devil cannot invade you unless you let him. Be wise!
