Deep Thought #146

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...” (Psalm 23). Often times we find ourselves praying for our finances or someone else’s finances. Somehow we think that “if I have money everything will be okay.” That is nothing but a deception. Money is but “a” problem solver; it is but a commodity. Money is not the answer to eternal life, it cannot buy peace in life. In fact, along with money (riches) comes greed, selfishness, pride and all sort of evil thoughts. Jesus talks more about money in the Bible than the demons. 1Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Friend, money is a necessity in life but do not be controlled by it. For where the treasure is, there’s your heart also. If you make money your god, you are aiming for sure disappointment and destruction in life. Money cannot buy Salvation and that is fact.
