God desires for us to connect with Him 24/7. But we tend to only call Him when we need something or when we are in a jam. That is a sad truth. We make God a magician with a magic wand and expect Him to do what we say, when we say and how we want it done, or else! We even go on starvation and call that “fasting” to try to manipulate God like some hunger strike. If that doesn’t work and God still doesn’t answer our prayer, we call upon the whole congregation to pray and make prayer requests wherever we go in hope of moving God to give us what we want. Yet, God only moves if we trust Him enough to let go of our grip on what is. The world is constantly seeking answers to everything but God told us to be anxious for nothing. In Matthew 6:8 Jesus said, “Do not be like them (the world, non-believers) for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” Stop trying to manipulate God; you are wasting your energy. And it gives Satan an inroad to harass you. For Satan is like a roaring lion crawling around seeking whom he may devour.
