Here is another question I have been asked: “How do you differentiate the counterfeit and genuine grace of God?” The answer: Genuine grace of God is an empowerment for us to do the impossible. In other words, the grace of God enables us to forgive those who wrong us. It also empowers us to make right choices in life and bestows the ability to give without asking anything in return. The grace of God sets us free and brings us closer to Jesus. While the counterfeit (Religious spirit) keeps us in guilt, shame and condemnation. Thus, it keeps us in bondage and in torment. The Bible tells us, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.” Therefore, beware of whom you receive council from. Always seek God first and pray, “Lord, whom can I trust to share this with?” Jesus taught us “by their fruits you shall know them.” Peace is one thing Satan cannot counterfeit.
