I often hear people say, “It is so hard to be a Christian.”

True! The purpose of Christianity is to be Christlike. And being like Christ is a lifelong process. But thank God we are not alone. John 14:16 Jesus promised us, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Holy Spirit), to be with you forever.” Then in John 16:13-14, the Lord said, “When He, the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever He receives from me.”

Don’t give up children, God knows what you need to be like His Son Jesus, and what you need He will provide. Ask and you shall receive. All He needs is your willing heart.
