Deep Thought #411

So often we seek someone to pray for us. Why? No one knows you and your situation better than you and God. All prayer is, is telling God what is going on in you and how you need Him to help you.

Can another person express in a better way in prayer your concerns than you yourself? Does that person or people have more privilege and power to get the prayer answered than you do? Isn’t God a no-respecter of persons and One who doesn’t play favoritism?

Friend, when Jesus died on the cross, the veil was torn in two. The only thing that separates us from God is our faith in Christ. You don’t need someone else to take your petition to God. You have been granted free entry to the throne of Grace. It helps when someone prays with us for moral support but not pray for us. Do your own homework, children.
